It is time for a heavyweight clash. The arguably greatest UFC Heavyweight of all time and the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, Stipe Miocic vs one of the baddest men on the planet, Francis "The Predator" Ngannou. This is their second time stepping into that octagon together, as Stipe defeated Francis by unanimous decision back in 2018.
Can the G.O.A.T Heavyweight defend the title once more or will Francis finally hold the belt?
Stipe Miocic
The current 205+ champ has a record of 20-3 with notable wins over Daniel Cormier (2x), Junior Dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum, and Francis Ngannou himself. Miocic's strengths are his elite boxing and wrestling skills. There is no real weakness for him. Stipe is a very hard fight for anyone because he is well balanced all across the board. The question I have is have Francis and his team found a weakness in the champ and how are they going to expose it on Saturday?
Francis Ngannou
"The Predator" has a record of 15-3 with notable wins over Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. The thing everyone talks about with Ngannou is how dangerous he is in the octagon. In his UFC career, he has won 9 of 12 fights via KO/TKO. Francis can finish anyone in the division. Can he do the same to Stipe?
Keys for Stipe
- Check and defend leg kicks
- Go for the takedown
Keys for Francis
- Go for leg kicks
- Beware of the takedown
- Be patient. Stay patient and never get too aggressive.
Final Predictions
Will we see another successful title defense for Stipe? Can Ngannou get the knockout?
My final prediction is for the current Heavyweight Champ Stipe Miocic to defeat Francis Ngannou via another unanimous decision. Ngannou is more than capable of getting the KO, but I predict Stipe holds onto that belt once more.
