Top 5 AEW Dream Matches/Feuds For CM Punk

He's back. CM Punk has finally returned to professional wrestling after a long 7 year absence from the sport. The former WWE Champion made his long-awaited return on August 20th, showing up on AEW Rampage and announcing he is officially All Elite. Fans all around the world cheered, cried, and screamed to the top of their lungs as Punk made his comeback to the squared circle.

He is currently scheduled to have his first match back against Darby Allin at the All Out PPV on September 5th. With AEW's current roster, there is an endless amount of talent Punk could face. Let's name the top 5 names I would most want to see "Chicago's Prodigal Son" go up against.

5. Kenny Omega

The current AEW World Champion is the #1 guy everyone wants to see wrestle CM Punk. This is one of the biggest dream matches in recent memory and rightfully so. Two of the greatest of this generation going at it is MUST SEE.

Whether it's for the AEW World Championship or not, it's the biggest match in AEW history. Two men that have cemented a legacy so great that both are widely considered as two of the greatest of the generation. Seeing these two in a ring is something I really need one day.

4. Eddie Kingston

The promos. That's all that needs to be said to get you intrigued into a potential feud between these two. Punk is one of the greatest to ever touch a mic, while Kingston is one of the best talkers wrestling has to offer.

The idea of Kingston hating the fact that Punk sold out similar to how Moxley did is something I want to be explored. Who doesn't desire Punk and Kingston going back and forth on the mic every week?

3. Malakai Black

The Best In The World vs The Dark Messenger. The similarities between the two is limitless. Tattoos, rock music, MMA training, and cross sitting. Even Malakai's in real life wife, Zelina Vega, portrayed Punk's wife, AJ Lee, in "Fighting With My Family".

Putting the parallels aside, the story for this feud could be very captivating and compelling to witness. The match itself could be a stiff fight with their experience in MMA. All in all, CM Punk vs Malakai Black will be a fascinating program.

2. Jon Moxley

Sure technically, this match and feud has happened before in WWE. Though, that was Dean Ambrose, I want CM Punk vs Jon Moxley. I want two badasses beating the hell out of each other in that ring.

One of the biggest names of all time vs one of the biggest names in wrestling currently. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace, just make the match happen, Tony Khan.

1. MJF

Again, the promos. The promo battles between MJF and CM Punk will be magic. A clash between the past and the future. Let them go out there every week and just talk trash to each other for as long as possible.

This is also the perfect way to make MJF the most hated man in the world. Maxwell is already very unlikable, but imagine the scene if he beats CM Punk in Chicago. The crowd booing, things being thrown, internet being outraged. MJF will be more of a star than he already is.
