Malakai Black is officially All Elite. The formerly known Aleister Black debuted in AEW on the 7/7/21 Dynamite episode. Black immediately made an impact by attacking Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson in Miami. This has lead to a current feud with the former TNT Champion and the two will square off next week in Malakai's debut match. Rhodes is a great first feud for the former WWE star, but who else should Malakai feud with?
5. Andrade El Idolo
It seems like these two will always find a way to get in the ring together once again. Whenever they step in the ring together, it's always a great match. From NXT, to the Main Roster of WWE, to now AEW, these two men in one ring equals a match that most would be satisfied with.
History is the main driving force for this feud to happen. There is years of history to dive into between the former NXT champions. Andrade was Black's first opponent in WWE and the man that Black won the NXT Championship from at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
With the restrictions off, Andrade and Malakai could have their best match yet.
4. Darby Allin
Darby Allin is one of the very best on the AEW roster and has expressed interest in a match with Malakai Black. When Black debuted, many have been pleading for a feud with the former TNT Champion.
With Darby's dark aesthetic being similar to Malakai's, it could create a very interesting parallel between the two. Even Allin's partnership with Sting could add in a good layer to their story.
The match itself would be very exciting. Both can work a very fast paced style and Darby can make Malakai look like a million bucks with his selling.
3. Hangman Adam Page
Hangman Adam Page is the most "over" wrestler in the company and one of the biggest babyfaces in the world. That is perfect for a feud against someone like Malakai Black.
Page and Black are complete polar opposites from one another. Hangman is the lovable cowboy that has the crowd behind him at all times. Malakai is the dark and sinister heel that would use Page's flaws to his advantage.
They are both great storytellers, not just in the ring, but in their promos. It is the classic face vs heel rivalry, but these two characters would make more for a very complex and layered story.
2. Kenny Omega
Any wrestler heading into AEW wants a match with Kenny Omega. He is still one of the best in ring performers in the world and has been one of the greatest of this generation.
Malakai could be the guy to absolve the sins of the current AEW Champion.
1. PAC
PAC is arguably the company's best wrestler and a match with him has to be near the top of Malakai's list of dream opponents. These two faced off in the NXT UK Championship tournament in 2017, which was Tommy End/Malakai Black's actual WWE debut.
The match was good, but it was just a tiny glimpse of what PAC and Black could showcase in the ring. Now with all the freedom in the world, it's exciting to think about what they can do nowadays.
Their wrestling styles are perfect for each other and their shared intensity would be great for an eventual feud.
Final Thoughts
Malakai Black is bound to be a star in AEW and can have an entertaining program with anyone on the roster. Black could easily become a future AEW Champion, but we'll just have to see if that comes to fruition.
